Decide the music for the video

  • Colombian music performed by the Symphony Orchestra of Bogota
  • Colombian music performed by the National Band
  • Colombian music performed by nationally recognized artists

I believe that to keep a consistent style in the video, we should use music by ChocQuibTown because it has an international target with the Colombian airs that we want to show

I think that we could use something like this (please, ignore the vieo, just listen the song):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfqPK_A2ha0

Perhaps in Bogotá don´t exist a Symphonic Orchestra. Bogota has a Philharmonic Orchestra. On the other hand, I think we could find Colombian music but not the same as always. The music must depend to a large extent to the development of the video. Thus, we can make a collage of proper musical genres as Bambuco or Pasillo.

I love this song, also its perfect to our cultural activity

This is a sample of the reach of Colombian folklore when it is a good musician. Not enough to innovate and "mergers" of lies. It is necessary to do well, and this group is an example:

ROSA GONZÁLEZ

I think the Colombian music performed by nationally recognized artists is a good idea, especially if it's music that includes the Colombian folklore
Carolina Valbuena

  • I agree with Fabio and Erika, but I think we could look for more "actual" music as for example Chocquibtown.

Manuel Rodriguez

I my opinion, the best option is nationally recognized artists.
Andrés Sandoval

In my opinion we can use music performed by groups like this, it kind of music, have a folk definied part, and isn't so older:

We can too use music performed by artist like choquibtown, atercipelados, that is known, but isn't so comercial like shakira and Juanes.

ROSA GONZÁLEZ:
Vallenato, along with cumbia, is currently a popular folk music of Colombia. It primarily comes from the Colombia's Caribbean region. Vallenato literally means "born in the valley". The valley influencing this name is located between the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta and the Serranía de Perijá in northeast Colombia. The name also applies to the people from the city where this genre originated: Valledupar (from the place named Valle de Upar - "Valley of Upar").

One of the most important cultural events in Colombia it´s the vallenato`s festival. Is held in the Valledupar city. Where, year after year, they meet many people around the country to compete and participate in this festival, which has over 30 years of history.

Pasillo: folk music from Colombia

This song performed by Sertsta folk group can be used in th video when you talk about "Region andina"

This song is performaed by a very traditional Colombian composer, his name is Gentil Montaña, he has a very large career, it is nearly 30 years. This song hs a lot of components of music from Tolima, and Huila region.
